James Crompton (BMus Hons)
James has been a professional musician for over 20 years. In 2007 he received a British Phonographic Industry platinum album award for co-writing a top 20 hit that appeared on Now That's What I Call Music 67, which sold over 600,000 copies.
He has been playing the guitar since the age of 12, and has performed with bands in live music venues all around the UK. His first jobs working in music were at HMV and later at Universal Music, where he worked for six years as a Talent Scout and A&R manager.
James has been teaching for seven years and his academic career started with obtaining an honours degree from Kingston University in Music Performance and Composition.
